Luxury in simplicity of nature.
Built in 1968 and drawn by Victor Palla and Bento d’Almeida, two renowned Portuguese architects, the house has hexagonal rooms — a honeycomb architecture. You fall asleep and wake to the ocean from every bedroom. In its natural simplicity, a quiet luxury is felt. The space itself is both calming and inspiring.
In the renovation, concrete is being replaced with clay from the garden. Cork and hemp are used to insulate the house, creating the best natural comfort all year round.
Water is the soul of this place. Our own well feeds the house. We understand water as living intelligence and treat it as such — using the latest nature-inspired technologies, vortexing, purifying and activating its natural state. Clean water promotes clear thoughts. All water used returns as golden water to the land, feeding the soil, the plants, the herb garden. Here nothing is wasted. Even human waste is alchemized to gold for the garden.
We honour water as a living being.
Here, you are not a guest who takes. Everything you use returns to the land as a gift — the water you drink, the water you flush, the food you share at the table all flow back into the garden, feeding the living ecosystem that holds this home.
Alive water promotes clear thoughts. Every drop you drink and bathe in makes its way back to the earth, alchemized by the garden’s own living filtration.
Nothing is wasted — even what you flush is welcomed back, cycled by nature into nourishment for the soil.
What is grown and shared at the table returns to the ground in turn, closing the loop between plate and garden.

Paulina Westerlind’s focused energy and ability to connect mean that she creates unique moments — both through her lens and in the spaces she creates. She builds an engaged and relaxed atmosphere, allowing a group to achieve its best. She has an instinct for possibility, is flexible and decisive, and delivers with care.
With committed hosting experience in Berlin, Venice & Stockholm, Paulina has moved to the Portuguese coast. She dropped her other professional endeavours and is fully committed to facilitating an unforgettable experience at Ocean’s Garden.
